           China is by far the number one country in the world with the highest number of business events in any given year. I can say this authoritatively because I have lived in China for more than a decade and witnessed the number of business events taking place just in one city - Shanghai.

 

           China business events range from small-scale county-level open market sales campaign events, to large scale trade fairs, exhibitions, annual summits and conferences organized at provincial and national level. In nearly every administrative unit in the country, there is a business event coming up, going on or just ended.

 

           Consider the fact that there are about 707 cities in China as of January 2024, and as for towns that don't qualify as cities, there are about thrice the number of cities. If each town and city were to have just one business event per year that would be thousands of business events every year.

 

           Business trips to attend events therefore, have become one of the most common reasons people visit China. You can register to attend a business event in China and get your invitation sent online with which you can easily obtain a visa. In fact, many large scale events like the annual China International Import Expo, attract millions of visitors to Shanghai each year and because of the popularity of the event, many other business events are usually organized alongside the Expo to capitalize on the presence of the huge population.
